(Reriani Communications)---BLUE BELL, Pa.--Unisys Corp. (NYSE: UIS) today named Matti Viljo as vice president and general manager of the companys Continental Europe region.
In this role, Viljo will be responsible for overall management of operations in this region, including driving sales, services and client satisfaction across all industries and business units in Continental Europe. He will be based in Schiphol-Rijk, Netherlands.
Viljo brings nearly 30 years of experience in technology sales and operational experience to Unisys. He joins Unisys from TietoEnator, a leading Nordic-based IT services company, where he was executive vice president and president of Banking and Insurance. Viljo also spent eight years with Oracle Corporation as managing director of Oracle Finland, where he was successful in growing its business in that country, and as vice president of application sales for Oracles northern Europe region.
Matti brings to Unisys a wealth of expertise in the information technology industry, said Luis Dominguez, vice president and general manager, Unisys Worldwide Regional Operations. His management skills and sales leadership will be instrumental in helping Unisys grow our business in this important region.
Before joining Oracle, Viljo began his career at IBM where he led several businesses on a country, regional, and global level for more than ten years. A native of Finland, he holds a M.Sc degree in economics from Helsinki School of Economics.
