Gay & Lesbian Interest : Gay Couples Can't Marry in Texas, But Can They Divorce There?
|
| on 2010/7/11 7:20:00 (112 reads) |
(Reriani Communications) --- Five states and the District of Columbia currently permit homosexual marriage. These jurisdictions logically also grant divorces to homosexual couples who are legally married. However, the legal status of married same-sex couples is not recognized in many other states that define marriage as a union existing solely between a man and a woman.
Texas, one of the states that define marriage in this way, is currently grappling with the reality that some homosexual couples legally married in Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, Iowa, New Hampshire or Washington, D.C., are moving to Texas and may seek to divorce there. Two lower courts have ruled that these couples may obtain divorces in Texas because of its constitutional obligations of equal protection under the law, and full-faith-and-credit recognition of other states' legal acts. However, the Texas Attorney General is attempting to halt the divorces, insisting that homosexual marriages legally recognized in other states should be voided under Texas law.

|
| on 2010/4/15 6:40:00 (108 reads) |
(Reriani Communications)--- GayDating.org officially became the only dating site review service focused solely on the gay dating niche today when they announced their website. Created by two gay men, GayDating.org is the outcome of twelve months of online dating site research and experience.
Frustrated by not being able to find reliable information online about which gay dating sites had the most members, best features, lowest cost and highest Better Business Bureau ratings, these two gay men decided to conduct their own research and share it with the online dating community. Of the highest importance to the gay guys that created GayDating.org was the total number of gay members per gay dating site. For it is only by joining the gay dating sites with the most gay members will gay men be able to find the most available gay singles and thus the highest number of potential dates.
This information is not publicly shared by most of the gay dating services online and the only way to ascertain this number is by joining each site and calculating the total number of gay members per region. The total gay member estimation process was tedious and time consuming and took up to two weeks per site to calculate.

Gay & Lesbian Interest : Guyana fighting discrimination against gays, lesbians in health care institutions
|
| on 2010/4/12 19:10:00 (105 reads) |
(Reriani Communications)--- Guyana is not waiting on the scrapping of British colonial laws against buggery to guarantee equal access by gays and lesbians to medical treatment and confidentiality of their HIV status among health-care workers.
Fearful of losing votes at national elections, the 12 former British colonies in the 15-nation Caribbean Community (Caricom) are yet to abolish pre-independence legislation that outlaw buggery, cross-dressing and prostitution-related activities like pimping. A constitutional case by the Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination against cross-dressing is currently pending in Guyana's High Court.
Dereck Springer, a consultant for a workshop organised by the Ministry of Health to train health care workers to deliver "optimal care" to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people, said the priority is make vulnerable groups more comfortable going to hospitals and health centres.

(Reriani Communications)---Worldwide, as we speak, men and women, young and old, are agonizing on their private secret: Im gay, and I cant hide it anymore. People who just want to live a life as a regular couple with someone of the same sex. Many of us have family and friends who consider homosexuality as abnormal or wrong, so its natural for people who are gay to have reservations about telling those special to them how they feel.
The first thing to consider: who NEEDS to know? You arent obligated to tell anyone it doesnt concern. Who you tell comes down to several things. Firstly, who do YOU feel you want to know? Who do you want to talk to about your love life, your attractions, your relationship ups and downs? These people will be close friends, possibly family, too.
Consider your current lifestyle. Do you have a partner now? If so, is it becoming more important to share them more in your daily life, with other people special to you? Often, people in love, straight or gay, want that person involved in their life more as a relationship grows. When in a relationship, we like to bring our partner to special occasions, celebrate, have support during the bad times. Maybe you wish to live together, and have realized that those around you will need help understanding this. Some people choose to tell their loved ones they are gay because they dont wish to feel that they are hiding anymore. These are all turning points that will lead to a person wanting to let others in their life know that they are gay.
