Media, Publishing, Printing and Photography : Branding Expert Kasey Sixt Featured at Upcoming Onrec Recruitment Conference
| on 2010/9/6 10:00:00 (28 reads) |
(Reriani Communications) --- It's clear that social media is here to stay. Most employers agree that participation and monitoring the social media realm is essential to develop a voice and trust with potential candidates. However, many recruiters are stuck with trying to navigate this realm on their own, with no clear direction on how to overcome obstacles or how to utilize social recruiting solutions without letting it overwhelm their workload. Kasey Sixt, Vice President of Branding and Social Media Initiatives at the global recruitment marketing agency, CKR Interactive, will be presenting at this year's Onrec.com Expo to shed some light on the matter.
Sixt's session will provide recruiters with valuable information on how to get started with social recruiting, including how to work with executive management to get their buy in and remove obstacles such as blocked social networking sites, and will break down the common misconceptions in the social recruiting arena. The presentation will share a client's experience in launching their social recruiting and branding efforts, and how they worked with CKR Interactive to build a successful social media marketing program.

Media, Publishing, Printing and Photography : New Talk Radio Show "Mad As Hell in America with Adam Klugman" Offers Callers One Minute to be "Mad As Hell"
| on 2010/8/25 20:00:00 (49 reads) |
(Reriani Communications) --- Progressive radio talk show host Adam Klugman is mad as hell and he isn't going to take it anymore. In fact, he is inviting Americans from every side of the political spectrum to join him on his new radio show Mad As Hell in America with Adam Klugman, debuting September 18th and 25th from 3:00 - 6:00pm on Portland's AM 620 KPOJ. His offering to callers: one minute of uninterrupted air time to express why they are mad as hell, too. "Most people are afraid of their anger," says Klugman, "because they think it's going to make them like the small minority of belligerent Americans who scream and throw tantrums to get what they want. But that's not anger. It's childish rage and it has been getting its way in this country for far too long."
Klugman goes on to make an important distinction between anger and rage. "What we're seeing from the far right and the Tea Party looks like a mad as hell movement, but its not. It's a Populist Rage Party. And rage always has the same goal - to destroy. Just look at the Tea Party agenda. What is it? To dismantle the government. To destroy it. It's a complete failure of imagination."

Media, Publishing, Printing and Photography : TextWrite Launches Edgy New PR Blog
| on 2010/8/14 9:00:00 (73 reads) |
(Reriani Communications) --- Full-service PR consultancy TextWrite aims to deliver a view from the trenches with its new PRBlog, a take on the “exciting, dynamic and frequently quirky world” of New Zealand public relations. And, in the spirit of social media, it’s not shy of ruffling a feather or two.
Recent posts rip into Advertising Value Equivalents (AVEs), branding them “meaningless”, “misused” and “misleading measurements from a bygone era,” and lily-livered PR execs who dilute their own value by meekly allowing themselves to be bulldozed by clients or bosses.

Media, Publishing, Printing and Photography : Breakaway Media Author M.J. Hawk Builds Demand for New Thriller Novel with Social Media Strategy from Feature Film Campaign
| on 2010/8/2 9:30:00 (87 reads) |
(Reriani Communications) --- Author M.J. Hawk’s political thriller novel, The Shop, follows her seven novels published by major New York publishers, but with a down economy and the publishing industry in a maelstrom of change, she isn’t taking any chances. Paramount vaulted the low-budget film Paranormal Activity into phenomenal success with a social networking strategy using social media web service Eventful.com’s “Demand it!” button. Hawk bets that using Eventful’s service can build an inherent readership for the novel in a similar way. Breakaway Media, a Tucson-based Internet publishing, marketing and communications company, worked with Hawk to craft the strategy and design the website, whokilledbriennecross.com.
“We built an aura of reality around an important character from the The Shop,” said Glenn McCreedy, of Breakaway Media. “The site showcases the life and violent death of country and pop star Brienne Cross and the final four contestants on her reality show, through features, news articles, and blog posts. Our aim is to engage visitors to interact with the site and one another, and to try and answer the question 'Who killed Brienne Cross?'”
